In this episode I am talking with yoga and mindfulness coach Journe Domek - we explore a variety of holistic approaches such as mindfulness, yoga, reiki and breath work for reducing stress and anxiety. These practices have been supportive on our personal journey’s and can also support other highly sensitive people.
We question how to find a balance between time spent on social media and connecting with nature during the pandemic. We also touch upon Journe’s experience as an occupational therapist to discuss similarities, differences and misconceptions between high sensitivity and autism!
Journé Domek has a background in health care. She is registered with the Yoga Alliance as a certified Yoga Instructor, with additional training in trauma-informed yoga. She also uses her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy to support her yogic and sensory-informed approaches to whole-body wellness, specifically supporting Highly Sensitive People.
"Our bodies are energetic systems, so grounding diverts our attention from mental space where our anxieties live and into the body" (Journe Domek)
